Finishes and surface treatments by material
The right surface treatment protects the component and determines its final appearance. We choose the finish based on the material and the intended use of each metal product. For outdoor components, we prioritise finishes with greater resistance to corrosion; for visible indoor components, we prioritise aesthetics and a consistent gloss or matt finish.

What finishes do you offer for stainless steel?
Polished, mirror-polished, tinted, frosted and satin-finished in various grits, depending on the finish required for your project.
Do you paint carbon steel and aluminium?
Yes, we apply primer and paint to carbon steel, galvanised steel and aluminium in the colour of your choice.
Does surface treatment affect the lead time?
It is integrated into the manufacturing process and planned alongside the other stages so as not to extend the lead time.
What is the difference between a satin finish and a mirror polish?
Satin finishing produces a uniform matt or semi-matt finish, depending on the grain; mirror polishing removes all marks until a perfect reflection is achieved, but is more difficult to keep clean.
Can you match the finish of an extension to that of an existing building?
Yes, if you provide us with a sample or a reference of the current finish, we will try to match it as closely as possible on the new piece.
Can you apply the same finish to a whole series of pieces?
Yes, we standardise the finish in mass production to ensure that all units have the same appearance. Please enquire about your chosen finish.
